If the original warranty has already expired at purchase, the Pre-Owned Warranty provides 1 year or 10,000 miles from your delivery date. The original Battery & Drive Unit warranty balance still applies.
Available for Model S, X, 3, and Y. Takes effect when your original New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires. The Battery ESA (Model 3 & Y) extends battery and drive unit coverage beyond the standard warranty period.
To receive warranty service, you must visit a Tesla Service Center. For non-warranty repairs, you may use any service center. Tesla is not responsible for issues caused by third-party repairs.
Yes. Your New Vehicle Limited Warranty follows the vehicle and transfers automatically to the new owner when an ownership transfer is performed through Tesla.
Before your service appointment, Tesla will prepare an estimate in the Tesla app (Service > View estimate). Warranty-covered repairs appear as $0. Some repairs require in-person inspection before warranty coverage is confirmed. You will be notified of any cost changes before work begins.
